 The band originally consisted of a vocalist Johny Rotten, guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook and bass Glen Matlock, Matlock was replaced by Sid Vicious.
 In January 1978, at the end of a turbulent US tour, Rotten left the band and annouced its disbandement, 1 year after Sid died of a heroin overdose in February 1979. The band only lasted two years and released four singles.
