What is Love?

Human beings, chimpanzees, lizards, bees, all the shiz-kebang. All of us are brought together by social activities that keep us alive. Us creatures of the world are naturally very social beings, and it is imperative that we stay social.

 So what of love?

Love is a message sent to the amygdala (otherwise known as the core memory center), resulting in endorphins and other neurochemicals. These neurochemicals flood into the emotional HQ of the brain, known as the limbic system. According to good ol' Dr. Eric Naumann, “the implication is that there is not just a single chemical reaction taking place in our bodies; there are a whole series of reactions that result in the emotion of love."

Okay, so that is the scientific explanation for love, but seriously, love is a very important part of breeding. We've all had that talk (you know, "when a man and a woman love each other very much...."), so we know perfectly well about sexual reproduction. And as we all know, mammals cannot have babies without sexual reproduction. It's a part of everyday life, and we know this perfectly well.

For more, read this source I found: http://www.eoht.info/page/Love+the+chemical+reaction
