Dengue fever is spread though the bite of the Aedes mosquito.

To prevent dengue fever, you must therefore prevent the breeding of the Aedes mosquitoes. Aedes mosquitoes are identified by the black and white stripes on their bodies. You can get rid of the Aedes mosquito by frequently checking and removing stagnant water in your home.

This can be done by practicing B-L-O-C-K. Please view the videos below for a demonstration.

I have identified that the cup used by my brother has some water droplets and water on the bottom after he uses it, this could be a risk as stagnant water could gather at the bottom and allow mosquitoes to breed.
Making sure there is no significant amount of water left in the cup and pouring them away if there is and using a tissue to dry the cup will allow us to ensure that there is one less place for mosquitoes to breed, and to curb the spread of threats like dengue fever within our community.👍
