Soundtrap is a free online music production platform that offers a range of vocal and mixing tools, including EQ, reverb, and compression. It also features virtual instruments, royalty-free sounds, and effects, providing students with tools to experiment creatively. One of its standout features is real-time collaboration, enabling multiple users to work on the same project simultaneously.

As a music teacher, I could use Soundtrap as an accessible tool for teaching music production. Instead of focusing solely on Eurocentric classical music (as is the case in traditional music classrooms), this unconventional approach allows students to explore, create and engage within their favorite genres and personal interests.

Beyond music production, Soundtrap also serves as a versatile audio editing tool. It can be used for a variety of projects that require sound, such as podcast creation or video production, making it a practical resource across different subjects.

It allows students to create multimedia presentations while providing a space for peer engagement, where others can respond through text or audio comments.
