         <description><![CDATA[<div>Vision:<br>Industrial Timeless Collection, where turing traditional Military uniforms into casual minimalist garments that also compliment Allsaints’ known colour palette, also fit for purpose for an A/W 21 collection. </div><div><br></div><div>My INP is concentrated on a gap in the market, by collaborating with a photographer, a completely different approach to a collaboration that Allsaints has never done before. Allsaints are well known for their punk style and collaborating with music artists around the world. <br><br></div><div>Mission:<br>As Allsaints have a strong British legacy, I feel that it is important to create a collection with a Military perception. I want this collection to hold history, from the detailing of the boots to their long wool jackets, the allure of bringing the British Military’ uniform and history into today’s trends however maintaining Allsaints’ representation. </div><div><br></div><div>There has been collaborations with other brands previously that have worked well such as Stella McCartney and Ed Ruscha, Raf Simons and Robert Mapplethorpe.<strong> </strong></div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first week went well and I managed to think about what I wanted to do my INP on. I was originally thinking of incorporating a children's collection or concentrating on sustainability, but after a lot of research and looking at various photographers and artists, I eventually chose a photographer named Don McCullin, who captures War images to reflect the latest range of my ALLSAINTS brand. I wanted a gap in the market, with an type of artist that Allsaints have never collaborated with before. <br><br>Looking back at my past assignments, I will be able to adapt the knowledge I learnt from then towards my INP as I demonstrate the following throughout my INP: The Brand, The Range Development, Sourcing Strategy, Merchandising Strategy, Marketing Strategy, Evaluation and finally my Referencing. I have found the brand report and Sourcing assignment the most interesting ones as I never knew how much there was to it. Now starting on my INP, I can really use that knowledge for my new brand.<br><br>I have decided to dedicate a few slides a day to concentrate on; that way it will give me enough time to research, plan and complete as I</div><div>really do not want to rush it but I want to make sure it’s completed perfectly. The way I have planned my journey is by already creating my slides so that I can see what and how I can layout my INP.          <description><![CDATA[<div>This week, to help evidence my planning, I have been using a daily calendar, writing down which slides I would like to concentrate on on which days. This will help me manage my time as I will evenly spread it out as well as having the odd day off to rest so that I can reflect on the work that.<br><br>Due to Covid-19, it is really hard to go into the shops and do some research for your comp shop. However, even though I can’t go to Art Galleries nor visit shops I have now decided to do my comp shop online as it is the only solution.<br><br>I will present my INP through Google Slides as well as linking my Padlet at the bottom on the last page with my bibliography. I will include Photoshop within my Range, Excel for my ‘Merchandising Strategy’ and of course my Padlet where you will find my research, planning and INP document.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week I focused more on my collaborator, whilst using a photographer who uses black and white photographs symbolises the colour palette and darkness of Allsaints, I really want to emphasise that and be able to collaborate his work with my trend as well as my colour palette. As for the name I was stuck between ‘Industrial Timeless Collection’ and ‘Urban Industrial Pieces’ to match the brand and range I chose ‘Industrial Timeless Collection’ as I felt it matched my range more.<br><br>My goals for my INP would be to show a different collaboration with Allsaints than in their past. Allsaints are well known for collaborating with music artists instead I have chosen to collaborate with a photographer.</div><div>To evidence my research I will of course show my research skills in researching all about my photographer wether thats his referencing his work or quoting his finest words. However, due to Covid-19, I was unable to physically gain research in libraries or visit his exhibition in Tate Art Gallery in London. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This week I have done some more research and elaborated on my collaboration. In my opinion, I believe that my INP concept would be successful to my retailer even though it is not necessarily a gap in the market I will look at the changes brought about by Covid-19 and the need for sustainability. I thought using the photographer is a different way of inspiration for a new range. Military inspiration has always been popular since the War and therefore why not have a different collaboration with someone that brings creativity and knowledge to the range. Also my range will still pick up on the Allsaints Colour scheme that they are well known to have as well as blooming it with a military twist. <br><br>When it comes to Primary and Secondary Research, as it is very crucial, I have spent a lot of time online looking at my collaborators work. I will do as much as I can physically however due to the Covid restrictions it is hard. I will be using WGSN, Edited, GlobalData for trends, analytics and research. I will also use my feedback from my previous assignments to help meet guide and reference properly as I know that my referencing needs to be more visible. <br><br>The real challenges are: not being able to go out and take photographs of the public or visit any shops and having to think of alternative ways as to how to present my comp shop.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I was initially worried that just by having a photographer to collaborate with would not be enough however I do think that when I get to look at the ‘Sourcing Strategy’ part of my INP that the Critical Path etc will be different due to Covid-19, the UK leaving the EU, what effect the will have on my COO and I will also have to look at sustainability and costs as to what would work better for my brand as well my suppliers.<br><br>I decided to work independently and in the office at home purely because that is the best place to work as its quiet and I have the space. Whilst attending my INP sessions with my tutor, it has allowed me to check in and make sure what I am doing is correct.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think time management was key and the planning all went well. However, the difficulties with downloading Photoshop onto my laptop to create my range and with the Covid-19 restrictions, it made me think of alternative ways of doing bits to my INP which I now know what to do. <br><br>My INP Idea is a gap in the market, by collaborating with a photographer is a completely different approach to a collaboration that Allsaints has never done before. Allsaints are well known for their punk style and collaborating with music artists around the world. <br><br>However, my approach is to step back and think how could I make Allsaints remain such an amazing brand as they stand out amazingly already by themselves however be influenced by a collaboration that hasn’t even happened yet, a different art: photography. <br><br>Bringing some timeless Military pieces pieces that I’ve chosen to match Allsaints’ image would be perfect. The black and white photographs, the rustic urban feel to the range would simnifically work. From the research I have done, some stores have collaborated with photographers before and here are how they went: I chose Ed Rusha and Stella McCartney and Raf Simons and Robert Mapplethorpe to represent other successful collaborations.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My mood board will hold every aspect as to why my range develops the way it does and what colours and details to help visualise samples of objects to convey a general idea about my concept. </div><div><br></div><div>Whilst being about to sketch out my ideas for my products, I think I have chosen the perfect photographer for Allsaints. Don McCullin is very sure and raw and that is what we needed for the inspiration of this collection.To include, I came up with the idea of having a little exhibition at the store on the launch day of Don McCullin’s work, him himself presenting it so that customers can get a real insight in the story behind the collection.<br><br>Currently with Covid - 19, the industry is really suffering putting loads of retailers and high street shops at risk. It has shown me that from September the retail industry and massively changed and that there have caused all sorts of problems from delays to cancellations to working remotely and using zoom to communicate with your team. I will have to think differently from the way I present my Critical Path for example; it may take longer to get samples made or get my products shipped from my suppliers as they need to make sure it is being shipped safely, sustainability will always be one to highlight and to constantly work on. As well as leaving the EU things will change within the trade and that is where it will affect the PEST and SWOT analysis that I will be doing on Allsaints.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Since September I have gained so many skills and knowledge. By doing the assignments that were set and having conversations on zoom calls with those already in the industry was extremely helpful especially during the pandemic as you saw how they have had to change the way they work and how the pandemic has affected them. Throughout my INP I have demonstrated all of my knowledge gained on the course by using my feedback and correcting myself, giving myself time to think, using my imagination and creativity just like I have always done since September but most importantly being inspired to create your own ideas and to feel passionate about it is how I have demonstrated the skills that I have learnt.<br><br>Whilst doing my Placement I really found it hard to balance both INP and tasks set by my manager. I think there was a lot of stress that</div><div>made me doing it in the end because I felt that I was so far behind however have learnt so much for my INP.</div>]]></description>
