Analytical response

Reflection :
The soft breeze, distant waves, glowing light and glistening water created such a peaceful sensory experience.

I truly felt so much freedom, embracing this presence and just appreciating the quiet sense of wonder, as time slows down, truly getting to connect the spaces and appreciating its natural form of nature.

Connect:
Inspired by Kilby’s (2020) concept of Portals whereby quiet invitations were shaped by light, shadows and the windy breeze, whereby play becomes the concept of how we could travel through space by a tunnel linking two separate points of space-time with the sunset as an imaginary portal of stillness and reflection. This beautiful nature has been created for deeper emotional engagements and even leading towards inner play.

Consider:
These moment connects with Wilson’s (2007) idea that nature supports creative expression through temporal arts.

My chosen artefact uses natural sounds, subtle movement and embodying it's presence capturing on how stillness in nature can become such as powerful form of creative meaning-making experiences.

On a personal prespective, being a nurse that is trained to responding quickly, to observe signs and to act with precision, stepping into early childhood education has shifted different sides of me to pause, to dwell, to listen longer and just noticing the in-between moments.

Truly understanding the Kilby’s concept of “Junk Magic” that resonates timely here, this ordinary place transforms because I have chose to engage with it differently, much like how a child turns can view a stick into a sword or a shell into a phone.

While embracing this moment dancing, walking and returning towards change, using embodied art to understand my evolving of relationships with teaching, nature and care.

This experience has helped me realised that meaningful learnings happens slowly through relationships, attunement and just by experiencing it's presence.
