1. Because our PLC curriculum is aligned, we are able to rotate the responsibility of creating our daily agendas. We each create a week's worth, but only once every 3 weeks. Along those same lines, lessons, assignments, assessments & pacing are all planned together, but the creation of them is divided & conquered as equally as possible.

2. All Daily Agendas are linked into our Canvas Home Pages so when students are absent they know to just go to the agenda to see what they missed. All lessons, notes, resources, assignments, etc. are linked into each Daily Agenda. Students can then email specific questions if they have any AFTER viewing the work we did when they were gone. This rarely happens b/c the agendas are completely transparent. I have a student right now who is keeping up with her class work while on a 2 week European vacation thanks to the easy access to our agendas.

3. Anyone have tips for providing meaningful feedback to students on a consistent basis? It is the nature of the job, especially in ELA, but if there are any more shortcuts I'd sure love to hear them!

1. I have a daily agenda Google Slideshow that I use throughout the year. In the past, I rarely included links in the slideshow. Instead, I opened all the tabs needed for that day for documents, videos, slideshows, etc. Sometimes I had ten tabs open, and it was difficult to find things during my classes. Lately, I have been linking all of my documents, videos, slideshows, etc. into the agenda for the day. All I have tabbed now is the slideshow, and I can click on the links as needed. It has really made things easier to find during class.

However, once I've given the same piece of feedback to the majority of my students, I stop giving that feedback, pull a student example, and begin the next day's lesson with "My favorite no" or some quick verbal feedback to the whole class.

If I know I have to be gone from school, I video my lesson ahead of time so students can still watch the notes and we don't miss any class time and I don't have to worry about the sub teaching them the way I would want them to learn it.

I have a folder for each day of the week so I can put my plan and items needed each day. I also use Google Slides and create a weekly agenda that students can access through Canvas so they know what is going on each day and they can check it if they are gone.
