In 1839, it had to illegally carry 53 african slaves. In the boat's hold, they were not even able to stand up. There were 49 men and 4 children. They mutinied, led by one of them whose name was Joseph Cinqué, and they killed the captain. Then, they asked the crew to bring them back to their homeland. But they have been deceived, and they sailed along the Long Island Coast to New York.
