The Plague Strikes Athens- Thousands Die (430 B.C)

It's offical, the horrendous disease from Sub-Saharan Africa has made its path of destruction to Athens through the city's port. Every sickly person reports of a blotchy, sweltering rash, fever higher than the heavens themselves, diarrhea that causes severe dehydration, sneezing hackling, and being blankly blind. The attack rates of the deadly disease are completely shocking as children and families drop like flies. 100,000 and counting have left behind their love ones. One lady named, Helen Gwenn, states, "I'm up all night and day nursing my friends and family, but I choose to ignore the feeling of the treacherous rash slowly crawl up my neck. Soon, I will be just like the rest of them; cold, dead, and forgotten." As war is being fought outside Athen's gates, there is an even bigger battle being fought inside. Bodies are laced upon others, and the alive walk around like zombies. As a result, Athen's side is extremely weak and Sparta now has a significant advantage. Athens population is down the drain, and the plague has only made matters worse.

Dancing IS an athletic activity. Young or old, dancing is a sport that requires rhythm. According to dance instructor, Jim Hasta, it is vital to learn rhythmical movement at an early age. Tunes bring character, and dancing brings spirit. Dancing to the beat unites communities and makes way for teamwork. Sparta dance instructors believe in harmonizing with each other, and swear by the benefits of dancing. You may see people dancing at alters and at festivals, and if you know a move or two, join in!

I, Madam Agathe, understand what you are all going through, my darlings. War is devasting, and life is not easy. When life's got you down, look up at Zeus. Hold tight to loved ones, and kiss the lost good bye. Listen to your soul, and follow your heart. Always bring about hope. Influence yourself to being positive. Remember all is not lost. Breathe. Bring forth a new beginning. Remember to love deeply, and do not forget your suffering. Encourage others, as it will encourage you. Grief is temporary, but your heart is permeant.

Aka "Giving Nurse", 35 of Athens, died from what is believed to be some kind of fast-attack-illness. Even during a time of such tragedy, she had the soul of a true caregiver. She was the last Gwenn left, as her sister, husband, and children all have passed away before her time. Unfortunately, Helen is one of many who have died from this deadly infection, that continues to wipe out family after family.
