My hardship is a really sore subject for me to talk about but, my parents used to fight a lot and it got extremely bad. It would get so bad when i was 6 years old I had to call the police on my parents because i was so scared and, that became a usual thing. I had to call the authorities so much I knew them all by name by the time I was 9. It was really hard hearing and watching my family slowly but, shurely fall apart. My siblings all moved out because the constant arguing and fighting became so horrific so, it was just me. Its been a really hard subject for me to touch on because I was so embarrassed although now that i'm older and my parents are divorced In try to be more open about it because I know so many people are going through the exact same thing i want them to understand that things can become better with time.

How does this relate to the theme?

This relates to the theme because, my parents fighting helped me realize so much for example, how lucky I am now to have a stable home and parents that don't argue 24/7 or the fact that I can see my dad genuinely happy in his marriage which I never really saw with my mom. Its helped me realize how good I and so many others have it, and i'm thankful I faced that hardship I've faced, it was a nothing short of an example of what not to do, when i'm older. I think it changed me for the better because, i'm more thoughtful now, I always try to invistion what someone else's home life is like because, I know what it's like to live in a house that feels nothing like home. So I sinserely hope that this helps someone with a simalir problem feel a little less out of place.
