Being a hero means having an objective or goal in a story. most of the time a hero is a 'good' character , but they can also be a 'bad' character by having goals that would be seen as immoral.
the hero's journey is both a literal and metaphorical journey. they might travel the world in in a story. but they also go through changes as the story goes on, starting out one way and being a completely different person by the end of the 'journey' and this is important in storytelling because characters most of the time need to go through personal changes.

When I hear the term "the hero's journey", I think of all the triumphs that hero has to go through in order to save a certain group or population. These triumphs include losing loved ones, not being able to save everyone, not being strong enough to fight against whoever is the villain or bad person, etc. One example of a hero or better put, a superhero, would be Spiderman in the third movie with Tobey Maguire. He made a big mistake kissing a different girl because he was peer pressured by the population and he wasn't able to marry Mary Jane. She rejected him and then he turned into a dark person and changed his whole attire until the very end of the movie where he fights his evil bound within him.

Being a hero isnt just being someone who saves a person. being a hero is being someone who is courageous, brave, and will always go out of their way to help someone even when it doesn't benefit them the most. Every story, movie, or tv show has a hero that does something that will alter the storyline majorly, they will save someone from almost certain death, or do something that nobody saw coming. Thats the good part about having someone you can label a hero in your show, they can surprise everyone watching, or leave them on a giant cliffhanger, wandering what they're going to do next episode.

Usually a hero is the Protagonist in a movie, Book or story. They don't necessarily have to have supper powers like Superman or technology like Iron man. Some people might see Forest Gump as a hero, he saved is team in Vietnam as well as doing other things in that movie. Or some might see Katherine Johnson in Hidden Figures as a hero. I see the word "hero" as being the good in a movie, might not be one person, might be a whole group. Spiderman, Hancock, Ironman, The Arrow, Flash, Wonder woman, Forest Gump, Jason Bourn, Vision, Captain Marvel, Wonda, Black Panther, Ethan Hunt from Mission Impossible, Skeeter from The Help, Ray (Dwane Johnson) in San Andreas, the list can go on and on. When I hear "hero's journey" I think of the hero(s) Character development through the movie, show or even book. I also think about there reasoning for being a hero and there goal in mind.

A hero is a character of a story that helps someone in some way. This could be direct, like spiderman stopping a robbery or indirect, like Tyler helping Zak achieve his dream in the Peanut Butter Falcon. A heroes journey is what leads to these events and what challenges the hero must face to truly earn their title. characters such as ant man were not heroes in the beggining, but throughout the story he develops from a thief to an Avenger's level hero. Without the heroes journey, it can be hard to visualize what makes the character strong in an emotional sense.

To be a hero in a movie it means that you go out of your way to help people around you even if you don't know them, and they sometimes have superpowers but not necessarily . To me being a hero means someones who's brave and courageous. For example being a good parent is being a hero to me. When i hear the word hero I think of people who are trying to save the world like Spiderman, The flash, and Black Panther. When I hear "the hero's journey" i think about their life before they became a hero or it just explains how they became a hero. It's important to cinematic story telling because it makes the story more interesting.

If you asked me, when I was a lot younger, what I thought of when I heard the word "hero", it is likely that I would have replied that I thought of my favorite superheroes. Fictional characters that had powers and abilities beyond the scope of a normal human and I could read about in a comic book or watch in a cartoon. And of course, these kinds of characters have become extremely popular today and are likely what people think of the most when they hear the word "hero". It wasn't until I was a good bit older that I realized that heroes could be any kind of person within a story or film. They could be super powered or just like you and me with the drive to do something incredible. To me, right now, a hero is someone, real life or fictional, who inspires the people around them, comforts them, and makes them happy to be themselves and know that everything is okay. Some of my personal favorites would probably be Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, and a couple of anime characters that I'm sure you probably wouldn't recognize. I also consider many Youtubers and online content creators to be heroes of mine as well. The list goes on. When talking about "the heroes journey", I think about an adventure that a reader/viewer of an entertaining form of media experiences with the character/characters that they can relate to or enjoy. I also think of getting to know the world that a character/characters live within as you learn about the memories and lives that they live and how they compare to yours. Lastly, what makes it "the hero's journey" is the internal journey that the "hero" or character is on and which you get to experience alongside them. This is very important to cinematic storytelling as if a film is able to truly encapsulate a viewer, it is then their duty to tell a truly incredible story in which the world and characters teach something to the audience, and through the choice of having these characters and/or the world change or stay the same, it can inspire the viewer or an entire audience to also strive to do something and/or to be great. Thank you.

A hero in terms of storytelling usually is the protagonist and is a character who is working toward achieving some goal. In many cases the hero's goal is saving the day or uncovering the mystery, etc. In many movies, the hero's goal is the personal reflection and coming of age experience they encounter. In real life, heroes are really anyone who accomplishes something that benefits themself or a group of people. A hero is someone that overcomes something in order to accomplish a great act. Examples of heroes from pop culture are easy ones, like the Avengers, Superman, Harry Potter, but there are other kinds of less obvious heroes, such as Katherine, Dorothy, and Mary in Hidden Figures. All of these characters embarked on some journey to overcome and accomplish in favor of themselves and others. The phrase "hero's journey" to me really is just the steps and experiences taken to achieve or overcome. It is all the fragments of life in between. The phrase "hero's journey" as relating to cinema to me really is just the meat of the movie. The journey in the movie, the accomplishment the "happy ending." The journey is the interesting part, and it is the part with the most meaning and distinction, and in many cases means a lot more than the accomplishment itself (or the ending).

The real definition of a Hero is “a person of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his or her brave deeds and noble qualities”. I do agree with this definition, but I think you could be a hero for more. I think you can be someone's hero just by being kind or helpful. Some qualities of a hero are: Selflessness, courage, kindness, helpfulness, and determination. They are typically the protagonist in a book or film. There are many examples of heroes in film/pop culture. There are the cliche superheroes like Superman, and there are heroes without superpowers, like Katniss Everdeen. When I hear “the hero's journey”, I typically think of a quest or mission for the hero. Basically, the path the hero must take to reach the desired destination or goal. “The hero's journey” is important to cinematic storytelling because it tells the path and obstacles the hero must overcome. It contains a lot of the plot and is rich with details important to the story.

A hero is the protagonist of the story, generally that does something good. They can be a character thats a good role model. A hero is generally known for saving or helping someone or something in some way, or having a positive influence. Examples could be super heros like superman or batman, or they can be normal people or even an animal in some stories. When I think of a heros journey I think of the path the hero took to become a hero in the first place and what they accomplish. In cinematic story telling its important to have this because it further fleshes out the character and allows the watcher to follow the hero on their journey.
