         <description><![CDATA[<div>He was on trial because of treason. He was plotting to invade Mexico and break up the US. His plan was learned by James Wilkinson, a believed "ally" of Burr's. Wilkinson told Jefferson, and Jefferson was willing to believe any dirt on Burr. I have not heard this bit of history before. I only knew that Burr had killed Hamilton in a duel.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>So the complexity involving the Cherokees right to their land and the rationale of how they cannot be seen as an independent nation because they are "domestic and dependent" was new to me. I find Marshall's reasoning as to why the Cherokees must be separated in order to unify the nation and ultimately for the safety of the tribes really fascinating because it creates defines the duality f his character and his role as a justice by showing which sides he truly supported.  I mean was he the bad guy eh maybe not. Also the National Anthem in that language is really pretty.</div>]]></description>
