Three main ways to get tidal energy are currently available: tidal streams, barrages, and tidal lagoons. Turbines are inserted into tidal streams with most tidal energy generators. A tidal stream is a body of water formed by tides that is fast-flowing. In shallow water, turbines are the most powerful. A large dam called a barrage is used by another sort of tidal energy generator. Water will spill over the top or by turbines in the dam with a barrage because the dam is tiny. The tidal energy generator's final form includes the creation of tidal lagoons. The tidal energy generator's final form includes the creation of tidal lagoons. A tidal lagoon is a pool of salt water partially surrounded by a membrane that is natural or manmade. Tidal lagoons can also be estuaries which have freshwater emptying into them, although there is likely to be poor energy production from turbines using tidal lagoons.

The most common method of transforming biomass is by direct combustion, so it could be useful energy. All biomass can be burned for generating electricity in steam turbines. This process is also called thermochemical, which includes gasification and pyrolysis. Also, generates electricity for steam turbines.

Economic Disadvantages: Biomass is very impractical, because it is very inefficient compared to other fuels. It can also be not convenient economically, because it occupies a lot of space.Environmental Disadvantages:Biomass is not the best option, from an ecological point of view, because it can cause deforestation, due to the constant use of wood, and also because of the large amount of methane gases produced by Biomass.
