As Interim Pastor, he preaches and teaches and also manages the ministerial staff and oversees the church’s regular Bible study and outreach ministries. With New Hope Initiative, a faith-based nonprofit active in international charitable work, Pastor David Belk carries out a variety of responsibilities related to administrative affairs and ministry development. Prior to becoming a Christian minister, David Belk achieved his BA in Speech Communication from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Following that, he earned his Master of Divinity in Biblical Languages Degree and his Doctor of Ministry degree in pastoral care at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. In his private life, he enjoys participating in athletics like soccer, a sport he first began playing as young boy. In fact, two of his three children have picked up his passion for soccer and play themselves. Besides soccer, he likes to sail on nearby lakes and on the ocean.
