Although the Spartans lived under a strict rule and policy of not having any type of luxury or pleasure, it was said that if you have these desires and wants as pleasurement you were regarded as weak or soft. It's important to live in a society where you as a civilization must maintain your role in society. If you are weak and soft you can not fulfill your life as a spartan and you will fail.

We also have a great navy which will help us in water wars. Only 10% of Sparta was Spartan population. It's sad how if a new born child was sick, you guys would leave it on the mountain side to die. Spartans only cared about them self and no one else, not even there children. Many of the times the boys went to military school and was punished for a seldom crime. Punishments were harsh for simple things. You guys was also an obligarcy which promoted inequalities. If you were a slave, you could live a free life if your parents were not slaves and you weren't but are from a different emperor. Luxury is a desire humans have and it's a want. Strange how you guys view luxury as weakness.

Slaves were treated unfairly for Athens because they priz ed their own freedom you had too work hard and save money, but what if you couldn't what if you were working hard and still not making enough money to pay your freedom. Why must they pay? Slavery existed everywhere, and although you can rise about it. They were slaved at one point for a reason. Slaves will be slaves and not people who should rise above.

Although you guys had knowledge and books we had soldiers. We were not trained robots because infact, our people knew that we had to be strong. This was by own will. Strength is beauty and we as Spartans respect our women and don't let them grow to be weak and soft go their children. As kids like we are we look up to our parents correct? I believe so, if we saw our parents as weak and lazy we will act weak and lazy. Your society fails at leadership and strength.

I agree, Athens did have great knowledge and advancements. Which gave them advance weapons, but if you don't have strong warriors to use those weapons correctly how will you stand a chance. We will defeat with our strength. For example, a football player may know all the plays in the book ,but if he doesn't have strength to get through the other players how will they win.
