There are many visible signs of the church. The most apparent of them is the Marks of the church, One Holy Catholic and Apostolic.

As catholic we are united as one through the mass and through the creed . We are one through the word catholic meaning universal.

Holy

We are holy through baptism when we are washed away from original sin and become part of God's Holy People

As catholic means universal we are united through the church universally. As Christ as the head of the mother Church we are part of the body.

Apostolic

As Christ founded the church and passed on his teachings through the apostles who came the first bishops. Apostolic succession is present today and is visible through the church and the pope the Successor of Peter

Three Fold Mission

As Priest we become a part of the way of a suffering servant, we are charged to make of ourselves sacrifice for the sake of others in and of this life.

Prophet

As Prophets we are incorporated as part of the work of Christ to bring forth the News of the kingdom of God to the forefront of the world and brings to them a heart made with God.

King

As king we are take into the fullness of the kingdom as not one who resides within but a presider over all of the kingdom's domain. and is responsible for it.

The types of communion the Church provides.

With Christ

The church is surrounded and united in Christ's body. We act as the Body of Christs in today's world as catholics. “Communion with Christ is the Church's main purpose for existing.” (pg 17). We grow in communion with Christ when we do things that Christ did.

With Catholics

Everyone in the Church helps to make up the Body of Christ. The Church welcomes anyone and realizes that everyone is important and has something good to add to the Church. “Catholics share communion with the Church worldwide.” (pg 18). The universal Church's mission is to connect certain local churches with the universal Roman Catholic Church.

With other people throughout the world

The Church is connected by different people all throughout the world. “The Church is joined by those who were baptized Christians but do not profess the Catholic faith in its entirety or have not remained united under the pope.” (pg 18). The Church always tries to treat everyone equally. Catholics refer to others as “neighbors”. Jesus commands Catholics to love all their neighbors.

Communion of Saints

The Communion of Saints is all those who are faithful living or deceased. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that the communion of saints is the Church. This has two meanings: there is a communion all holy people between the Church of Heaven and the Church of earth, and everyone shares a communion of spiritual goods. There are five spiritual goods shared between every one:

I like the organization into the four clear parts. The use of the arrows to show connection and direction works well. The only minor thing is the consistency needed across the sections as this area of "Visible Signs" also needs images with each post.

Moses prefiguring Christ

There are many examples of when Moses prefigures Christ. Some are when Moses prefigures Christ is when:

Moses was tested with fake gods and hunger as was Jesus
They both came out of water
Moses turned water into blood and Jesus turned water into wine

Moses was temptaed with fake gods when they just escaped Egypt and the Jews where worshipping a gold cow. This prefigures when Jesus woudld be tempted by the devil to worship him.

Aaron to Christ

Aaron is a prefigurement of Christ as it pertains to:
- sprouting flowers and ripe almonds
- Melchizedek the latter
- Being Moses' prophet

Moses and Jesus both came out of the water. Moses came out of the in the Nile starting new life for his people. This prefigures how Jesus would be baptized and bring new life for his people in the future. They would be batzied and be in the new life as the adpoted sons and daughter of God

As Moses tured water into blood. It prefigured the miricale of the wedding at Canna where Jesus tured water into wine which in the mircale prefigured the last supper where Jesus tured wine into the his blood the Blood of Christ.

To miraculously bring forth the Baptism and Eucharist, signified by the water and blood. Aaron's staff sprouted flowers and even ripe almonds, prefiguring Christ's own body.

Aron is Moses prophet because Christ told Moses that he shall be his prophet. He brought around good news and was a follower of Christ.
