I grew up with my mom and sister. For a long time it was just the three of us. My mom re married and she had my baby brother. I’ve always been the oldest. My mom is from Guatemala and my dad is from Cuba.

Coming out of high school I did graduate a little late. I was a young teen mom at the age of 17. Right after I graduated I completed about 2 semesters of college and then took a 5 year break. It was not ideal, but raising my daughter as a single mom I needed to work full time. I have now been back in school for 2 years. I graduate next year with my AA in early childhood education and psychology. I plan to transfer to CSUN.

I have two beautiful children. My daughter Ava is 11 and my son Damian is five. I have a dog named Stefan and he is two years old. He is a maltipoo. I rent a one bedroom apartment and I live alone with my two kids and doggy. I am an introvert, so I love being inside and keeping to myself. My kids and my siblings are pretty much my best friends.

I have always looked up to my mom as my greatest influence in my life. She is a Spanish teacher and has been working as a Teacher for as long as I can remember. She just passed and received her credentials. She is now pursing Her masters and I couldn’t be more proud of her!

Psychology, to me, is the study of how people think, feel, and behave. It helps us understand why we do what we do and what influences our actions and thoughts. By studying psychology, I learn more about myself and others, which helps me connect with people and understand their experiences better.

In my daily life, psychology is always present. Whether I'm thinking about my own feelings, dealing with stress, or interacting with others, psychology helps me make sense of these situations. It guides me in making choices, understanding why people act a certain way, and building better relationships, making it a valuable part of my everyday life.
