It is very heartening to see so much feedback from the class, showing how productive their TA was. From reading all the post it notes, I can see all of us applying what we have learnt during our modules and also learning from the CTs and students alike. Viewing all the different post it's also helped me to reflect on my time during TA and consider learning moments that I may have overlooked. Ultimately these 4 sectors come tgt to create a positive and conducive learning environment for our students. And we as teachers should try our best to achieve it.

"Four-in-one"

As I made the Gallery Walk, I realised that even though the post-its for the Teaching Processes (TP) were placed on four separate whiteboards, I found my mind making connections from one TP to another TP. For example, to practise differentiated instruction during lesson enactment, you need to know your learners' readiness levels, interests and learning profiles during lesson preparation, and that is only possible with positive teacher-student relationship that enables you to know your learners personally. Together, the four TPs form one complete Pedagogical Practice -- the Singapore Teaching Practice, i.e. the model practice which we aspire to achieve in our classroom is a four-in-one entity. The implication: when we reflect and seek to improve on one particular TP, we need to review how we fare in other TPs too.

It was nice to see what my friends have learnt and I hope that I will be able to apply all of these into my teaching practice in the future. Ultimately, since the students are our main focus, it is important for us as teachers to have multiple pedagogical practices in our toolkit so that we can utilise it when the need arises.

Throughout the lessons, it was easier to see each aspect of Pedagogical Practices on its own. However, going back to the school, observing, and reflecting helped me to see that actually all four parts naturally came together to form what teachers used in their lesson planning, lesson enactment, assessment and feedback, with positive classroom culture to tie everything together. I hope that I will soon be able to comfortably use all four aspects to provide my students with an enriching experience in their lessons!

It was great to see some of the applications of the theories in our TA stint. It is important to take some of these strategies and develop them into our own style of establishing and enacting the 4 aspects of the STP. I hope to be able to use some of the sharing from my peers as well as what I have observed during my TA stint into developing my own teaching style. I do agree with most of my peers that there is an important linkage between the 4 quadrants that we would need to factor in when we develop our own teaching strategies and lesson enactment.

The STP articulates our vision of learning in the classroom, our beliefs about students as learners, and the teaching practices that support the realisation of this vision. I felt that the 4 fundamental teaching processes of Pedagogical Practices overlaps each other are vital for effective teaching. I look forward to using my takeaways that I have learnt from my TA experiences, through the friends' experiences and in my courses when I am back in school.

As we continually reflect on our own practices, we will definitely be able to refine our teaching styles and provide our students with the best learning experiences.

Everyone had their own unique takeaway and strategies that they would like to adopt in their future classrooms, but something that we all have in common was placing students at the core of what we do. I strongly believe that this is important as student-centric decisions would always steer us in the right direction.
