         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Our aging population is increasing more than any other (United Nations, n.d.).</li><li>Falls are the most frequent cause of injury in the elderly (CDC, 2017).</li><li>Falls often precede devastating consequences for the elderly.  They have a higher rate of death, complications and hospital re-admissions (Galet et al., 2018).</li><li>There are multiple intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors that contribute to falling (Dionyssiotis, 2012).</li><li>The chance of falling <em>doubles</em> after an initial fall occurs (Al-Aama, 2011).</li><li>Frailty is a common cause of falling (Gustafsson et al., 2009).</li><li>Certain interventions can interrupt  the frailty process (Maxwell, 2019).</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
