The sensory memory storage will receive the information, a small amount of the information will be encoded into the short-term memory for storage. You can use the maintenance rehearsal technique or the elaborative rehearsal technique to to help retain or transfer the information to the long term memory, but if this information is doesn't transfer or is interrupted, then the memory is lost and learning doesn't take place.
