The British used the colonies for financial gain something known as Mercantilism. The colonies were home to diverse religious and ethnic groups.          <title>Growing discontent.(AKA America and Britain are having Relationship issues because England wants to step back into Americas life)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;After the war with France</strong>.<strong>(Britain is sorta kinda out of money )</strong><br>The seven years war really drained Great Britain financially. In turn the British began to tax and control the colonies more.<br><strong>The colonies have problems with Britain ( someone call a marriage counselor already jeez)</strong><br>The colonists thought the new rules was a infringement on their rights, " No Taxation with representation." They wanted to be represented in Parliament.<br><strong>Boston Massacre (AKA 1770's Police brutality)</strong><br>There was a conflict in Boston between the soldiers that turned violent. The colonists were furious about this because the soldiers were found not guilty. This sparked coming together and tensions raised against the British.<br><strong>Boston Tea Party( AKA This event is sponsored by, Lipton)</strong><br>After the Tea act Britain passed, the colonists were super mad, they protested by throwing a lot of the tea into the Boston harbor.<br><strong>The Continental congress(Literally the entire colonial big shot roster is in this club)<br>&nbsp;</strong>Important leaders from all over the colonies formed the continental congress to discuss the what to do about how the British was treating them.<br><strong>Just in!!!          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>The French Alliance (AKA Marquis De Lafayette!!!!)</strong></div><ul><li>The French joined the war because the Americans finally won a dang battle (AKA The battle of Saratoga)</li><li>The french really helped the Americans by providing <strong>GUNS AND SHIPS,AND SO THE BALANCE SHIFTS</strong>.... (sorry for the obligatory Hamilton reference Mr. Wisher.)</li><li>The french also inspired other countries to side with the Americans(AKA Spain, and the Netherlands.)</li></ul><div><strong>Treaty of Paris</strong></div><ul><li>Washington with the help of a awesome french fleet make the Brits to surrender in Yorktown.(<strong>This is literally a Hamilton song</strong>)</li><li>The British army is crumbling. The British surrender and lose the war.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Enlightenment ideas the constitution</strong></div><ul><li>The constitution used the ideas of a social contract and elected a president instead of a king(George washington)</li><li>They created a Federal republic with the government separated into 3 equal parts.</li><li>Bill of rights gave the people rights like the enlightenment thinkers had said .</li><li>There are 10 articles in the original bill of rights , they cover things like freedom o religion, speech and press and trial by jury.</li></ul><div><strong>Limited Freedom           </strong>The constitution became the law that we all looked up to.
