Term life: Simplest and cheapest. Set for a planned time frame of when you would die. Can last from 5-30 years.
Whole life: Very expensive but it covers all your needs and lasts your whole life. Consistent payments.
Universal life: Cheaper but more strict on payment due dates. If you are in the range of dying soon you get benefits of a guaranteed payment.
Variable life: An investment based insurance that builds value and has death benefits. It also slowly grows more cash value.
