Day 2: I am just guessing but I think it is where it is the power of the golden touch or you touch it and it is gold. Golden touch also means you are greedy for what ever you want.
Day 3: I think that Midas Touch is a good name for a car company because they make your car shinny which is basically like exaggerating gold.
Day 4: I would describe Herculean as a god or a goddess because he is strong.
Day 5: If I had to choose a animal to be name Hercules, I would choose a chameleon. The reason why is because it can probably turn into gold like the golden touch or skin.
Day 6: My personal Achilles heel is math because it is a little tricky.
Day 7: In my opinion to open up pandora's box is to do something you are not suppose to do and then something bad might happen to you. For instance, if somebody does something there parent told them not to do, then bad things might happen to them like they might get in-trouble, hurt or even something else.

Or it's a bunch of old myths in a single group, like greek mythology.

Day 2: I think it means when you touch something or someone, something happens to them or it.

Day 3: Midas would be good name because if your car would come out looking good from the factory you could say it was golden, from the Midas touch, just like they said in the advertisement.

Day 4: I would describe my dad as herculean because he has a disciplined workout schedule. He has is very patient with me (which is hard) and he is really strong.

Day 5: I would consider a hippo to called Hercules. Even though they are not very fast, they are really strong, and they also love to have fun.

Day 6: My Achilles heel is that I can run fast in short bursts, but I have terrible stamina, so I have to fall back on my wits, which are not that reliable.

Day 7: Opening up pandora's box is just like opening a can of worms, it a bad idea. But the catch is that there is still a little bit of good still there. An example would be when you would open something only too be pranked and everyone including you would laugh.

The myth is most likely to be a main story of how something happened.

Day 2: Having the Midas touch means to be greedy and to want something selfish. This ends up with regretting things or promises. In the myths though, the Midas touch is where everything you touch turns to gold.

Day 3 : I think it is a good idea to name a car company Midas because it stands out. Midas has shiny god and stands out, so if you go to the car company your car will shine and stand out.

Day 4: To have herculean strength you have to give a lot of effort, thought or strength to completely finish it.

Day 5: Most animals are herculean because of how they can adapt and make use of what they have. Us humans need lots of space and with out that we would suffer. But when we take more space the animals habitat shrinks. Now some animals became extinct, but they survived a long time and adapted to their space they had. Tigers, lions, spiders and many more are all herculean because they are all strong and clever in their own way.

Day 6: I really don't like when people copy other things or take credit.

Day 7: An example I would give is when You want to know who won in a game you sometimes cheat to find out and then you get sad because of something.

There can't be a thing that is half goat, half human. King Midas met a god so that is another hint that it is a myth, and last thing that makes it a myth is that he had, well, a golden touch! Day 2: I don't know what the "Midas Touch" is, but I think it is that everything you touch turns to gold. Also, since we learned about allusions, I think that it is an allusion! I also agree with Alina today. It means you are greedy, nothing good will happen, but if you aren't greedy, good things can happen in life!

Day 3: I think Midas is a good car company name because Midas stands out. Midas is a good name because I think they are saying that they are a very lucky to have that car because it will SHINE! Plus, they will have to get a Midas car because then, they will be lucky! Also, I think that they are saying that this car is "made of gold", or that it is a car that is golden (kinda).

Day 4: To be Herculean, or have Herculean strength, you have to give a lot of effort, thought and/or strength to completely finish the task you are doing at that moment. Because of that, I would describe my dad as Herculean because he has a disciplined yoga schedule. Also, he is very patient with me, and that can be hard sometimes. Also, he is really strong. Plus, he gives a lot of effort, thought and strength to the task he is doing.

Day 5: I would call a hippo Hercules because even though they are not that fast, they are super strong, and also, hippos love to have fun. Also, most animals are Herculean because of how they can adapt to their surroundings and make use of what they have. Humans need lots of space. Without space we wouldn't be able to live that well; we would suffer. But when we do take more space, the wild animal habitat shrinks; forest, jungles, everything shrinks, except for out habitat. It expands, more and more. Because of us, some animals are becoming extinct, but they survived for a long time and adapted to their space they had used to live. I think animals like tigers, lions, spiders are all Herculean because they are all strong and clever in their own way. Whether big or small, all animals can be Herculean in their own way

Day 7: Opening up Pandora's Box is just like the idiom Opening a Can of Worms. In other words, it a bad idea. But, there is still an itty bit of good still in the box/task. An example of Pandora's Box would be "I opened Pandora's Box when I went right next to a hornet hive with hornets next to it."

The endings can both be tragic and happy, like in Midas's Golden Touch and Echo and Narcissus. Sometimes it also teaches a lesson, like in Midas's Golden Touch, the moral is to not be greedy. And also, some of Greek mythology is changed into an allusion, like when you are "narcissus" (Echo and Narcissus) and when you have a "Herculean effort" (Hercules).

Day 2: A "Midas touch" is an allusion! I think a "Midas touch" means like if you are greedy, everything you want will come, because Midas was greedy, and he wanted gold, so everything he touched turned to gold! However, I know FOR SURE that this does not mean that "everything you touch turns to gold". Because that isn't in reality!

Day 3: I think that "Midas" is a good company name the allusion the "Midas touch" means that you can make money easily, so the company may mean that they are a very successful, lucky, and prospering company.

Day 4: I would describe someone as "Herculean" to people who are strong and able to do difficult tasks because Hercules himself was very strong, and apparently, his first deed was wrestling two deadly snakes when he was JUST A BABY.

Day 5: They would name the liger Hercules because like Hercules, the liger is very large! And I would consider naming a LION Hercules, because lions are big and brave.

Day 6: One of my Achilles' heels are that I can be so busy at times that I do not have enough time to finish other work.

For example, if someone was eating soup right before fishing, and there was a special can right next to them filled with mystery things, and the person reached over and pulled it open, worms came crawling out all over the table and in the soup, contaminating the soup and filling the house with wiggling worms!

Day 3: I think Midas is a good name for a company because it means that were not greedy like King Midas and we will make something more better. Midas is a car repair company it is like saying we have the golden touch for car and that attracts people to them.

Day 4: I would describe a person that very strong and brave Herculean.

Day 5 : I would name a bear or a hippo Hercules because they are brave and strong like Hercules. I know that because they always protect their offspring when there is a predator.

Day 6 : My Achilles heel is nerve because it always gets to me and I always think if I do something people will get angry with me and I become sad which is never a good feeling.

Day 7 : The meaning of to open up Pandora's box is that somebody that opens the door to trouble. One example is, my brother gave a birthday present and in the morning I could not stand it anymore and I opened the present. I looked in and I thought I opened Pandora's box.

Day 8 : One example of a Greek allusion is Hades academy. The sentence from the text is, “Look, not to be mean or anything, but you’re acting

like your parents are sending you to Hades Academy instead of Pinecrest High. I think Hades academy means a place where it is awful and bad. I think this because Hades is the god of the dead and the underworld. The underworld is supposed to be an awful place so if Hades had a academy it would be awful. This is why I think Hades academy means this.

Day 7: To open up Pandora's box means that you do something you shouldn't and it causes trouble. Example: My brother gave me a bottle to watch while he was at his soccer game. He said not to open it. I didn't know what was in it but I decided to open it. As soon as I did, spiders and ants started crawling out of the bottle. I started screaming. Later, we had to call an exterminator because all of the bugs were everywhere in our house.

Day 8: In the text, it says "Being friendly and outgoing was no Herculean task
for her." If something is Herculean, that means it is very hard and it takes hard work and determination.
