Heaven was written to come out to the world and accept who you are as a person. The Emerson excerpt and this song coincide very nicely as they both reveal the vulnerable side of man. "The truth runs wild like a tear down a cheek..." This lyric fits nicely with the quote from Emerson about how " The eyes was placed where one ray should fall." Both either literally or metaphorically talk about the tears that fall down a man's face which represents the strength to be weak but to remain reliant on oneself to persevere. To further the vulnerability of the excerpt, Emerson talks about confession and how man should, "Bravely let him speak the utmost syllable of his confession." This quote once again fits perfectly with the chorus of Troye Sivan's Heaven, "Without losing a piece of me How do I get to Heaven? Without changing a part of me..." Malala didn't know what wave of reform for women of the Islamic faith she would create when she survived a gunshot wound from the Taliban just because she wanted to go to school. Just by surviving that attack, she set a beautiful example for future leaders of Islamic Women's' Rights. She proved that she did not need a man to be successful in life. As she advocates for education and such, she did not reject her religion which forbids certain things women can and cannot do which made her misunderstood amongst people of her faith.
