         <description><![CDATA[<div>The official language of Brazil is Portuguese. The language varies from the Portuguese spoken in Portugal slightly in pronunciation. Many Brazilians get offended when spoken to in Spanish, although most Brazilians can understand both Spanish and Portuguese. While English is taught as a second language, many people do not become fluent in speaking English.  </div>]]></description>

Most Brazilians are fashionable and well manicured.  European, musical, and pop culture movements are strong influences on the fashion trends in Brazil. The casual attire for men is jeans and a t-shirt or board shorts, tank-tops, and flip flops. The women wear jean shorts or pants and strappy tops. The people in urban areas wear name-brand clothing. In warmer areas, people dress in more casual, light, and bright colored clothing. Common business attire is stylish suits or skirts with jackets. People love to dress up for special occasions: The women wear elegant dresses. Also, traditional clothing is popular in rural regions for the natives. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Gestures are used to communicate and express feelings. In Brazil, pulling down the eyelid with the index finger means caution or disbelief. Also, the "okay" hand symbol is offensive to people in Brazil. People may tap his/her fingers horizontally underneath the chin to communicate that the other person does not know what he/she is talking about or is exaggerating. Eye contact and intimacy are important factors in Brazilian conversations. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Each region of Brazil offers its own unique dishes. Common foods in the Brazilian diet includes meat, rice, bread, beans, cheese, and eggs. Coffee with milk, fruit, bread with butter, pastries, and misto quente (toasted ham and cheese sandwiches) are normal breakfast items. Lunch is the biggest meal of the day: It usually consist of rice, beans, meat, salad, and fruit. Dinner is the lightest meal of the day, and usually includes a bowl of soup and a piece of bread. For dessert, many Brazilians will eat pastries. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Almost all Brazilians are passionate about their national sport, "futebol" (or soccer), despite socioeconomic class. If people cannot attend the games in person, people will gather and watch the game on television wearing their favorite team's uniform. When a field is not available, people will play in the street which is known as "pelada": Some of these games are known to last up to twenty-four hours. Also, basketball, volleyball, boating, fishing, swimming, and auto-racing are common activities in Brazil. When people have free time, they will spend time with friends or watch television. Many people watch "novelas" which are soap operas. Also, barbecues, dances, festivals, and live concerts are common. Brazilians love to celebrate any occasion with samba dancing, eating, drinking, and socializing. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Dating and marriage customs change depending on location, social class, and values. In recent years, people have been waiting until their thirties to get married or will remain unmarried until they have a career and/or house. Sometimes, people do not ever get married. Instead, the couple will just live together and raise a family. However, traditionally in Brazil, people begin dating as early as age twelve or group dating which begins around age fourteen. The boy is expected to ask for the the father's permission to date his daughter: Couples traditionally get married after two or three years of dating. Couples usually meet in dance clubs, school, or their neighborhoods. </div>]]></description>

The show has gotten a lot of hate on and offline once the public failed to cancel the show. The play's director, Natalia Mallo says, "With Jesus embodied in a trans woman, it addresses all the oppression and violence suffered by this population". Also, Mallo expresses how Brazil is majority transphobic: Violence towards transgenders is prevalent with 170 killings against transgenders so far this year.
