Art has been a major part of my life since the very beginning. Both of my parents work in creative fields; my father is a woodworker, and my mother is a hairstylist. When I started drawing as a toddler, I was encouraged by my family to continue practicing, which I did. Their words gave me the confidence to explore other forms of art, and soon I became labeled as the “artist” across all branches of my family.

                I was introduced to computers very early on, which had a huge influence on me.  In the 90’s, around age 5, I began experimenting with programs like Microsoft Paint and Adobe Photoshop. I started incorporating photos into my computer illustrations when digital photography took over, and started focusing on digital art.

                In school, I always chose art classes for my electives and finished AP Studio Art with an A. I studied design at VCU and interned as a graphic designer for a branding agency build a professional portfolio. Since, I have taken on various freelance design projects.

                Achievements include being listed on the Presidential Scholars list for NVCC multiple times, winning various regional art shows, having my art displayed on federal government property, being published in magazines, and more!

I love every aspect of art, and hope that I can continue to learn and practice for as long as I live!
