Show Your True Colour, Unchain Your Heart" was an international, interdisciplinary eTwinning project that brought together students from eight countries with a common goal: to explore emotions, self-acceptance and the values of active citizenship through creativity and collaboration. Through online meetings, teamwork and intercultural communication, students developed life skills, empathy and social responsibility, learning to respect diversity and take an active role in society.

Online Meeting - Getting to Know Each Other

19-12-25. We took part in an online meeting that lasted about one hour, characterized by a very enjoyable and friendly atmosphere. Students actively participated by asking and answering questions in turn, sharing information about their traditions, hobbies and everyday life.

During our online meeting, we shared our feelings and reflections about the entire project experience. We exchanged warm wishes for the summer, celebrated our collaboration, and promised to stay in touch and work together again in the future. The friendships and connections we built throughout this journey will remain a valuable part of our eTwinning experience.

Step 1: Create slogans

We create short and meaningful acrostic slogans about identity using the letters of our project name. Students reflected on culture, language, traditions, values, dreams, and diversity. Then, each partner school created creative photos inspired by the colours, emotions, and messages of their slogans, expressing identity, diversity, and freedom of self-expression.

Collaborative Online Art Exhibition — "Art speaks where words can't go"

Students expressed their identity, emotions and personal stories through art, photography and poetry. Each artwork carries a unique message of self-acceptance, colour and belonging, creating together a vibrant collaborative exhibition that shows the world their true colours.

Online meeting with shadow artist – Show your true colour

As part of the eTwinning project "Show Your True Colours", our students participated in a special online meeting with the artist Triantafyllos Vaitsis. Through his presentation, they were introduced to the art of shadow, where simple materials and objects are transformed, with the help of light, into meaningful and expressive images.
The connection with the project's theme was particularly interesting: just as shadows reveal a "hidden" image behind objects, students were encouraged to bring out their own true colours — the unique identity, emotions and creativity that lie within each one of them.

At the beginning of the project, students created their own netiquette rules. They followed these rules throughout the project by communicating with kindness, respect, and empathy and by exchanging positive and encouraging messages with their European partners.

We were delighted to participate in the 1st Educational Inclusive Festival “En Festival” as part of the dissemination activities of our eTwinning project “Show Your True Colours: Unchain the He-Arts”.
The 1st ENEEGYL of Eastern Thessaloniki presented the candle-making workshop of the award-winning virtual enterprise WeCandle. Through the creation of scented candles, our students guided other students step by step, promoting inclusion, collaboration, interaction, and equal participation for all.

From Greece with Love - Christmas Gifts & Cards

As part of our eTwinning project "Show Your True Colours", our students prepared handmade Christmas gifts and cards to share with their European friends in France and Spain.

Using their vocational skills, they created colourful handmade soaps, decorated gift packages and wrote personal Christmas cards with warm wishes in Greek and English.

This activity was a beautiful expression of cultural exchange, friendship and European solidarity — showing that colours, creativity and kindness have no borders!

We Received Gifts From France and Poland!

The exchange was mutual! We were thrilled to receive beautiful packages from our eTwinning friends full of surprises, local products and heartfelt messages.

Opening the packages was a moment of joy and excitement for our students. Discovering the colours, flavours and traditions of our partner countries made the project truly come alive!

This cultural exchange reminded us that friendship has no borders — and that sharing our true colours brings us closer together.

The project was directly linked to the school curriculum across several subjects. Students from the Aesthetics and Cosmetology department explored the expression of identity and emotions through visual and creative activities, designed logos and a shared mascot, and as part of the charity event, prepared handmade soaps and candles, combining their professional skills with a humanitarian purpose. Through their English lessons, they communicated with peers from eight countries in authentic contexts — discussions, presentations and articles — meaningfully developing their language skills. Through ICT, they built their digital skills using tools such as Canva, Padlet, Digipad, YouTube and AI tools, all within the eTwinning platform.

Mascot

Our collective mascot tells the story of our teamwork. Our original plan was for each partner country to create one part of the mascot and then mail it to the next country, which would continue the work. Unfortunately, the mascot got lost during its journey. So, we decided to create a new mascot using online tools. This way, all the partner countries worked together to complete it digitally.
