Discussion: The quote we discussed explores corruption within the school, as well as modern society, and how power intrinsically correlates to wealth that which leads to prosperity in modern society. It also discusses the hierarchical circumstances within the act of corruption and how its perilous nature can only lead you to worsen your circumstances, rather than accrue them. Ethan: I would recommend this book to most teenagers, especially those attending Chaminade because it is about boys in a private high school.

Krok: I would recommend this book stay on the list because I believe that many kids at Chaminade may find themselves relating to this book.


Kevin: this book was engaging, so I would recommend it to stay on the list. The themes of competition, and also struggle were themes that I could relate to as a teenage boy.
