In the picture below, I'm holding up a t-shirt that I got from a co-worker (her name is Dena... maybe you've heard of her?). The t-shirt is from Ear Hustle, a podcast that she introduced me to last year, that remains one of my favorites. Some other podcasts I enjoy are Serial, In the Dark, Pod Save America, and Slow Burn. With an hour and a half commute to De Anza College (each way!), I've come to really enjoy podcasts to pass the time in the car. When I'm not listening to podcasts, I usually have on the news or political talk.

Some other (kind of) interesting facts about me are:
  • I attended San Diego State University (#GoAztecs) for my undergraduate education and majored in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy.
  • I earned a master's degree in Education from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
  • My students in Philadelphia gave me the nickname "Shizzy Mac" when they learned my first name is Sean (and last name initial is "M"). Apparently, he's a local (Philly) hip hop artist? The student who came up with the nickname would enter my classroom every day by shouting, "It's your boy, Shizzy Mac!"
  • I shot a hole-in-one (playing golf) when I was 15-years-old. Luck > skill.
  • I'm 6'7", which means I hit my head on things quite frequently, have to order clothes in tall sizes, and always get asked by strangers to grab products that are just out of reach when I'm at the grocery store. Yeah, annoying.
  • I bought my first hybrid car about a year ago to use as a commuter car. The gas savings were great... until coronavirus hit. Now it sits and collects ash in my driveway.

    • I work at an esports organization and have a life-time record of 3,000 hours across all platforms.
    • My older brother went through the college now program way back when it was structured differently and transferred into UC Davis. 
    • I love to cook and competed on the varsity cooking team at my home high school.

  • I was in Middle College last year
  • I grew up in Egypt for most my life, I moved here when I was in eighth grade. 
  • I learnt everything in french for 7 years, everything from science to history to math was in french. I can't speak french anymore but I can understand it. 
  • I can understand 4 languages: english, spanish, arabic, and french. 
  • When I have free time I like to play guitar, my friend kalon got me interested in guitar playing this year and so far i've been really into it.
  • I've been watching full length joe rogan podcasts since freshman year so I have a weird amount of random facts in my head and I also probably wasted a lot of time doing that everyday. 
  • I like to play video games, my favorites are gta, cs go, and star wars battlefront

We were at the Castle of Qait Bai in Alexandria and even though it was like a solid 115 degrees, it was the most magical experience i've ever had in my life. I never realized how young America is until I visited CASTLES in Egypt.

I've painted the walls so far (it used to be some nasty combination of pink and purple with a strip of wallpaper with green butterflies on it) and now three walls are white with a teal accent wall. And I've painted the cubbies white (they were also pink). But I still havent actually gone into decoration or painting the bed frame. 
    - My family regularly hears me say "let's go" in random occasions like when i'm washing dishes and I keep adding to the list of places I want to travel to every time they ask me "where?". The list is currently Turkey, Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, back to Egypt, (specifically Dahab), and all beaches (Big Sur is on the top of that list).
    - I can't cook. I'm literally told to get out every time my troop is trying to cook anything whenever we go camping. I'm only allowed to make the campfire. I mean, you flip one pancake wrong and all of a sudden everyone's shooing you out. 
    - I love backpacking, camping, and nature in general. I climb everything I can and my mom doesn't trust me whenever i'm out in  nature. During quarantine I started getting into cooking and baking, but now my sister took over the kitchen so I just let her do her thing. I miss being able to hangout with big groups of friends and going to see my favorite artists in concert so I eagerly wait for the end of this pandemic. My dream vacation is going to an exotic island with amazing food and just surfing for days.
