Obedience in The Breakfast club doesn't happen often in the movie due to most of the kids are rebellious. In this scene the principle is setting out the rules for detention which everybody there is obedient to mostly. bender is asked to get his feet off the table and does so but when the principle turns around bender puts his feet back on the table this can be related to the factor of direct surveillance in Milgrims theory. it can also be linked to the legitimacy of authority where in this case it is The principle for this reason the other students followed the orders. another reason the students followed his orders is because it wasnt only happening to a single person, they where a group this can be linked to the factor proximity of victims. and the last reason they followed his orders was the fear of punishment although Bender had no problem with it even insulting the principle and getting another detention

The Breakfast Club follows the unusual group of kids who get a detention and have to stay at school on the weekend. although the group of kids all seem completely different during lunch they begin to open up to each other and form a friend ship through the punishments from the smug Principle Vermon. as well as being a good film it shows a great number of example about Obedience, conformity and aggression.

Aggression in The breakfast club appears way more than once and mostly through bender and his anger. in this chosen scene bender describes how he is abused at home and shows his cigar burns due to Andrew not believing him which makes Bender very aggressive and angry and he storms off. This can be linked to the factors about Frustration. in the Aggression Hypothesis you have to be frustrated to be aggressive and the other way around this can linked to the fact that he is frustrated and or angry at home due to his abuse. Andrew trying to call bender out on his lie can also be seen as a trigger to make bender aggressive. his aggression can also be linked to membership of a large group and de-indivusation in the sense that he is against everyone in that group and how he is the odd one out.

Conformity in The Breakfast Club is something that appers quite often as the story revolvs around teenagers in school where if you dont conform to something you might lose friends. IN this chosen scene bender goes away to smoke inviting the other kids if they wanted. while no one goes at first one by one they go all except for Allison which is strange because if everyone is doing it you are much more likely to follow suit. Andrew was the last to go and his choosing to follow can be linked to a number of factors like the size of the group that left to go smoke but strangely even though Andrew had an ally he still left. the rest of the group could also have left due to them thinking it was a social norm with bender doing it and everyone else following behind.
