When working in a group, I feel confident in talking with one another. I am currently the manager of a bar/café, which requires me to continually communicate with my employees to ensure that everything is running smoothly. I believe this is a transferable skill since it has taught me how to connect with people in a kind yet authoritative manner so that my voice is not lost. Not only that, but when an incident occurs, it helps me to respond in a problem-solving mode.

Having previous experience in adobe whilst doing a Graphic Design course gave me the opportunity to explore design and layouts of magazines, single pages and videos. Being able to apply this to certain areas of Fashion Marketing enabled me to further practice my adobe skills, which although are only basic skills it has encouraged me to improve. At present I am quite confident in InDesign and Illustrator.

Despite the fact that I've only recently begun to manage my workplace's Instagram account, I feel comfortable using social media. I've had the opportunity to hone my marketing techniques by sharing interesting stories, pictures, event announcements and engaging with our following. Being able to manage social media for work has taught me how to practise at-home abilities while adhering to a specific brand identity when creating these posts. Given that there has been a 560 rise in Instagram followers in the last two months, I do think this is a strength. Especially as it enables me to brain storm idea at a fast pace and multitask on different content. I feel as though it gives me an insight as to how social media can be used effectively when for marketing.

Sewing

I've learned how to practise and be patient from sewing. Although it's just a hobby, it's something I'd like to pursue in the future. I want to build a brand for myself using the knowledge I've gained from social media marketing. This is a plus in my opinion since it demonstrates end-to-end development while allowing for greater creative freedom when producing content rather than just adhering to a corporate identity. It has made me realise how crucial it is to pay attention to details, and it motivates me to get more organised. It gives me a creative outlet and helps me get better at designing.

To reflect I believe I have a good level of skills, although basic they are a good base to improve on. I know I need to improve my time management skills as I can tend to procrastinate. However, I think that what I ultimately need is experience. Experience to explore my skills further and learn new ones. For this, ideally would come from internships and taking short courses on this subjects to have a better understanding of what truly makes me passionate to create and work.

My role is the Marketing Consultancy project mainly consisted of making the visual work such as; the presentation and report layout. I worked together when doing the SMART objectives and introduction. When working within this team I believe we all came together to form a creative marketing plan and were able to all voice our own ideas and collaborate them together.
