We spotted an iguana in our school. Since its subtropical climate makes it warm and humid year-round, Florida has become an ideal home to many species of reptiles and other animals we normally see in distant, isolated rainforests and on tropical islands.

In 1927, Guiseppe Argiro first offered the pepperoni roll as a lunch for local coal miners. This is because the pepperoni roll was easily carried into the mines by the workers. Since then, this creation has become a famous West Virginia food! At our school, pepperoni roll day is the BEST because our cooks make the best pepperoni rolls in the world!

The newest national park is home to the New River Gorge Bridge which is the longest single arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere and 3rd longest single arch bridge in the world. If you are really brave you can take a walk under the bridge's catwalk and during Bridge Day festivities, you can parachute off this bridge!
