This relates to digital citizenship because like if you use a Facebook chat, then someone can use words to hurt you, and the creator of a post won't understand you and know if you are more sensitive because you guys don't know each other, but then you can have your feelings hurt.

I learned that words are powerful because it could help or hurt other people. For example, if you say something mean then they might feel sad because they might think the mean thing is actually true about them. This relates to digital citizenship because if you call someone mean on the internet you don't know if they are being sarcastic or if they are trying to truthfully be mean. Also, when someone compliments someone else you don't know their tone if they really think that you are what they say or if they are being mean and being sarcastic. This relates to digital citizenship because if people are nice to everyone people won't get hurt mentally which makes people happier than if they are being bullied. I also learned that if you are being bullied you should do S.T.O.P:

This relates to digital citizenship because people don't always realize that there is a person on the other side and use rude or unkind language that can hurt others.

I learned that words can hurt people and there is always another person on the other side of the screen. We have to be careful what we say online because what you say cannot be undone. This relates to digital citizenship because if you say something hurtful online, it reflects who you are and digital citizenship is being a nice person online. Saying something mean would really hurt somebody emotionally, not physical. If somebody says something mean to you you should use the STOP or stop and breathe.
