A few weeks ago the United States president issued a travel ban on select countries in the Middle East. To protest against this ban the Museum of Modern Art in New York City has replaced the works of some of its popular artists like Picasso and Matisse with works by Muslim artists such as Zaha Hadid and Tala Madani. Although these works were not originally painted for protest purposes, they are now being displayed as a protest.
