I think you can read this book from 6+. It's a very good and entertaining book series. I really loved this book series since I was a kid. It's my favorite because it's so good and cute. Everyone loves Clifford. This is a kids book so I wouldn't know what to recommend to read next. It ended very good and in a satisfying way, too.
