1. How would you compare the role of men and women in education based on the report’s findings? What could be the reasons behind the changes?

- Girls do better in education than boys. Men are more likely to get a degree-level qualification in 2008. However, in 2013, the percentage of women getting a degree-level qualification is higher than men. The reasons can be social welfare and the affordability. In the past, not all family can afford education, especially families with children.

2. What is the ratio of men and women in managerial roles? What does it tell us about gender inequality?
- Across Britain, men are almost twice as likely to be a manager, director or senior official than women. In July 2015, percentage of board positions held by women were increased by 25% by the government. Men are still expected to have a higher position in the workplace due to the stereotypes in the society than women.

3. What is the impact of gender on life expectancy? How gender plays a role in terms of crime? How could you explain these data?
- It is said that women live longer than men. Across Britain, lower proportions of women exceeded the guidelines for alcohol consumption, compared with men.
- Women were much more likely to be victims of rape than men.

4. Do you think Britain is now a fairer society compared to the past? What is your observation about your own society?

- We think that there are more equality for female now. Girls get to go to school and get good job positions regardless of their sex. However, gender inequality is still happening in the society, more or less. It seems inevitable for this stereotypes to disappear. However, nowadays the society has developed and women achieve more opportunities than in the past

1. Based on the report findings, women are performing better than men in education. There is also a higher percentage of men not in education, employment or training compared to women. Reasons could be because women are more attentive and hardworking. The report also shows that women tend to put more effort towards attaining degrees and knowledge than men, and have more qualifications.

2. The ratio of men and women in managerial roles is 2 to 1, with men being almost twice as likely. This shows gender inequality as society underestimates women's working abilities and denies their personal rights and power to represent their gender and opinions in society and working spaces. Furthermore, although women have more qualifications, they have less opportunities than men to be in managerial positions.

3. The report shows that women live longer than men and are less likely to be obese or drink excessively. Women are more likely to be the victims of a crime than men because men have more violent tendencies. Women also tend to experience more domestic violence or partner abuse. However, besides gender, the location and culture of a country also plays a part in terms of crime.

4. In our opinion and according to the report, Britain is a fairer society compared to the past. According to statistics, women may easily become the victim of crimes. However, in the UK, women's education and employment rates have risen. There are still aspects in society which can be improved as gender inequality is still a pressing problem.
