I would add in more hands on activities. I feel many teachers the older grade the student gets, the material given is boring and not fun. Making lessons fun and interactive will only boost your student's want in learning the material. So, I would try and implement at least two engaging lessons everyday in my room, even if I were to teach an older grade.

I plan on implementing lots of breaks in my classroom. 7 hours in a classroom is a long day, especially for elementary schools kids. I think some teachers try to cram as much as they can in one day, but this burns students out. Even short dance breaks can help reset kids' brains or even allowing them time to color or do a puzzle, so they are still developing skills while getting a "break" from instruction.

We want them to be able to learn, but keeping them in desks for hours and hours at a time, especially when Covid is a thing and you have to keep everything bare and socially distanced, is not healthy or an environment that supports learning.
