         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students should be provided the opportunity to self-reflect on their learning.&nbsp; In my child's school, their formative grades (classwork, homework, in-class assignments, and pre-assessments) are worth 20% of their final grade while their summative work (quiz &amp; tests) is worth 80%.&nbsp; Although this 80% can have quite an impact on a child's final grade, they have the opportunity to be re-assessed (only on summative assignments) by completing a self-reflection sheet&nbsp; and having it signed by both child and parent prior to the re-take.&nbsp; They are held accountable for their own learning. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>
