Symbolism - I chose symbolism as my movement because I am heavily inspired by the symbolist philosophy and the ability to convey absolute truths with fiction and fantastical subjects. Additionally, I find the darker color palettes and dark imagery very appealing. My favorite artist from this movement, and one of my all time favorites, is Arnold Bocklin, who I feature twice in this moodboard.

I chose pop art because Because it turns common items into colorful works of art, pop art inspires us to find beauty in breaking traditional ideas of art. The 1950s and 1960s brought the rise of the pop art movement, which stands out by its use of commercial and popular culture-inspired imagery and techniques. By using commonplace items, comic strips, and advertisements, artists like as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein questioned accepted fine art norms and dissolved the distinction between high and low culture. Bright colors, strong lines, and a feeling of sarcasm or irony were frequently used by the movement to make statements .

Renaissance - I chose renaissance painting because of the importance and significance it plays in art history. The art and patterns it coveys is unique. Every piece is beautiful with unique pastel coloring from all the way back to the fourteenth century. In the renaissance paintings the pastel colors added sparkle and highlight to the pictures. My favorite renaissance painter is Leonardo da Vinci because of the key details he adds to his art work.

I chose renaissance art because seeing it in Italy drew me into it, because of the history and the meaning behind some of the works. The architecture also appeals to me. The main qualities in renaissance art are oil paints, realism, portraits, and religion. I chose these pieces for my final since I seen two of them in person, and because of their meaning and influence in the art world.

I chose rococo because I really love how some of the styles and the way everything is drawn, and all the really somewhat bright and low tone colors attracted me more into the art. It also seems in a way that there are some deeper meanings behind every painting/art piece that are portrayed in a lot of Rococo art pieces. I also love how there is also a little bit of pastel colors which also brought my attention, I love using soft tone colors and pastel colors from time to time and everything gave me a bit of inspiration in a way. I also noticed how most art pieces have women in very beautiful dresses and gowns, I love the amount of detail the paintings have, and it just stands out so well. I don't think they mentioned any names for the people who created these pieces but yea.
