The Iroquois used fires when it was cold and made warm clothes, for example they would stuff there shoes with moss to prevent frostbite. Your environment can affect what you wear, what you eat and how safe you are. If there are many dangerous animals you could be killed easily, if it is warm you would wear less clothes then if it was hot.

they used the seasons to help them figure out when to go in and out of their long house. They also adapted by useing all the recsorces they had and well isntead ob buing it all they made clothes and so on. Where you live plays a big role in how you live because if a tribe lived in florida than they wouldnt need such heavy and big clothes they cuould wear lighter clothes. If they lived in new york it gets really cold so for some seasons they would need a lot heavy clothes. -Emmett

This statement "The five tribes designed quite an elaborate political system. This included a bicameral (two-house) legislature, much like the British Parliament and modern U.S. Congress. The representatives, or SACHEMS, from the SENECA and MOHAWK tribes met in one house and those of the ONEIDA and CAYUGA met in the other. The ONONDAGA sachems broke ties and had the power to veto decisions made by the others. There was an unwritten constitution that described these proceedings at least as early as 1590" stood out the most and I chose this quote because it shows how they had modern government systems and it shows how modern these people became before they where killed off.

Something that I wounder about is how come no one talks about how come know one talks about how the goverment took these children away from there family and they werent aloud to practice there belives

The iroquois great law of peace basically made the base of the U.S. Demoncracy for example in the text it said Iroquois: Restricts members from holding more than one office in the Confederacy. U.S.: Article I, Section 6, Clause 2, also known as the Ineligibility Clause or the Emoluments Clause bars members of serving members of Congress from holding offices established by the federal government, while also baring members of the executive branch or judicial branch from serving in the U.S. House or Senate. "
