WAR CRIMES were also committed multiple times during the time span of the war.  During events like the mass murder of Srebrenica the men specifically were murdered and that prevents a new generation of Bosniaks from even being born. For example, the Mothers of Srebrenica fought and earned assistance from the Bosnian government, UN REPARATIONS, and much needed attention to the massacre victims. Srebrenica now has a memorial cemetery (as displayed in the image) in which new bodies found from the event are buried and lost lives are remembered every July 11. The event is attended by heads of state, diplomats, and delegates of the UN to take part in prayers, listen to speeches, and discuss global social issues.
