Back in class we reflected on this together.

We thought of something we should say sorry for and placed a ribbon into the basket to symbolise our prayer.

We gathered on chairs with calm music. To respond we placed a coloured pebble around the Holy area on the carpet to symbolise our own individual prayer.

We began by reflecting on a reconciliation sculpture created by Josefina da Vasconcellos that is situated outside Coventry Cathedral. We thought how it made us feel and what it reminded us of.

We made Lenten promises to respond in sacrifice. We brought these to Jesus.

We then collaged our ideas.

We role played the events of Palm Sunday and stopped in freeze frames to say how the person we were roleplaying would be feeling.

Jesus - Nana- “ I am feeling excited and joyful. I also feel a bit worried about what is coming.”

Our prayer leader , Memso, chose to keep our reflective area simple and modest, with only the purple cloth for Lent and our class candle lit to symbolise Jesus being the light of the world.

We heard from scripture and created resurrection gardens, collecting natural resources from out field and play areas.

Max said “We can feel Holy Spirit in the wind, like the disciples”

We reflected on our learning by placing candles around the Holy area and thinking how we might use the example of Taize to be closer to Jesus.
