While we use wrike, we often don't need to be that granular when we are planning a project (but we do transfer to wrike when a project is actually happening). For example, sometimes I need to figure out timelines before a project, or figure out when the project is projected to end, but I don't want to actually create or adjust existing wrike tasks - I just want to show a trend. 

As a more clear example, we have a project that HAS to conclude at the end of the fiscal year due to grant funding. I needed to be able to show the project stakeholders that we weren't going to make it based on our trends, but I sure didn't want to adjust all of our wrike tasks to reflect something that can't happen!
