I’m not sure if this is something we can explore, but I was wondering if the schools in our cluster could take turns setting the Prelim and P5 EYE FEL papers. For example, FMSP could set them in 2026, and the papers could then be administered across all FEL students in the cluster schools. I understand that some MT clusters already practise a similar approach, so perhaps we could take a leaf from their book.

As we prepare our students to be future-ready in an ever-evolving world, these learning spaces need to be redesigned to provide rich contexts for learning and to promote the development of 21st Century Competencies in our students.

I think our biggest achievements would be that each school brought to the table what they were already trying out in their own schools and focused on their department workplans. In the IP area, I do believe that the focus-- e21cc and edtech have been fruitful. Perhaps the next step might also be AI-related.

In other areas, such as general learning spaces of even the library, I do believe there is potential for us to dive deeper into this! I'm heading the workgroup in my school looking into the refreshing of learning spaces (i.e. school canteen, library, classroom) and this definitely has an impact on the pedagogical design of English Lessons. I'm keen to explore this further if the team is interested too.

I found the sharing of how oral examinations are conducted as part of WA interesting as it is an alternate way of assessing oracy in a more authentic setting. It also reduces the manhours needed.

The platform we onboarded for oral (ALPS AI Oral Coach) was useful but we also experienced a lot of issues. Hopefully, we can provide feedback as to the specific problems faced and that this support can be continued next year with improvement.

I would not mind continuing with this. However, perhaps we can change the rationale. Since PESA is fleecing us ... haha ... perhaps we can turn this into a masterclass for our kids who are HP in oracy. This would be a cluster focus for HALs (oracy) as we look to the future when GEB is closed and development of HALs have to be in-house. Perhaps small intimate more personalised sessions to develop these handful of students?
