I was born in Harlingen, Tx, but raised in Brownsville. My original due date was on the 12th of June, but my mom started experiencing complications, so they had to perform an emergency C-section. The Doctors told my parents that I would possibly be born without the sphincter that connects my esophagus to my stomach. Though luckily that did not come true.

History-graded event: This happened when I was 19 months old. In his State of the Union address, President Bush urges Congress "to pass legislation to modernize our electricity system, promote conservation, and make America less dependent on foreign sources of energy."
Age-graded: like most infants and toddlers, I was walking and crawling at the average age that a toddler would typically begin to walk.
Concept: Imitation. At this age, I was super interested in watching my mother apply her makeup. My parents told me that there was even a moment when I somehow got ahold of my mother's red lipstick and decided to put some on. Of course, I thought putting some on my face meant that I would be just like "mama" LOL for a toddler.

Theory: Piaget's Moral Reasoning theory. To describe this theory I would say that it is the stage of middle childhood where children begin to understand the points of view of others besides their own. They understand how rules work when they are implemented, but they also when it is necessary to change or add rules based on the situation or environment.
Age-graded: Like everyone else in this stage of life, my gross motor development was right on track because my balancing ability was better. I was even in dance at this stage of my life.
History grade: When I was 10 years old, Barak Obama was elected president for his 2nd term. During his second term, he filed that same-sex marriages should be allowed.

Theory: I can relate to Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory because my culture has impacted my upbringing. From the customs to the language and just the cultural beliefs. This theory has connected to my life because I have celebrated traditions such as having a quinceañera and celebrating holidays related to my culture.
Non-normative event: I would consider that my pre-k school year (age three going on 4)didn't exist in the sense that I didn't attend an actual school or program. My grandfather, was in a sense, my preschool teacher because he tried to teach me the basic information that I would need when entering kindergarten school.
History graded: In 2006( I was age four) there was a day where people and immigrants in the U.S boycotted work, schools, and shopping places to symbolize the essential contributions that immigrants make to the United States.
