The first Americans were the hunter-gathers. They made an amazing discovery, they learned that seeds could be planted and it would grow into crops that people could eat. 

It started like 9,000 to 10,000 years ago; around 1200 B.C. Where the Valley of Mexico to Costa Rica in central America. Because the region's geography was ideal for farming.
