For my interviews, I chose to talk to my Mom, Sister, myself, and Little brother. It was shocking to learn the difference in technology even between just a few years!

My mom went to High school in the early 2000's, the peak of Y2K and I was able to even see some of her old school supplies! When she was in school she would often write notes in a traditional notebook, and talked very fondly about an "old school" projector that was just a glass reflection of what the teacher was writing. She shared it was a shock to see the more modern projectors in classrooms now that go on the ceiling!

My sister and I are very close in age and she went to Elementary school in the early 2000's! She shared with me that her favorite piece of technology was the computers, since she went to school in mexico it was something she saw as special due to the fact that she was in the lower-class schools at the time. She said "I loved the computers, but I hated the typing classes that came with them"

My favorite thing about current technology in school is how personal everything can be! Even this assignment gives me a chance to make something like a timeline my own! In High school I remember my parents giving me my first MacBook and I couldn't imagine getting through school without it. It made things like taking notes, talking to teachers, and even accessing extra help so much easier for me as someone who struggles just a little socially.

The biggest thing I took away from doing this assignment was just how much technology has changed even in the 8 year difference me and my little brother have or even the 18 year gap me and my mom have! I couldn't imagine life without the technology I have for school now and my mom couldn't imagine her school life with the technology I have! Things advice so fast and I'm sure the future generation of learners will have technology that I couldn't even imagine having, which is both an inspiring and frightening thought.
