I also believe that a homosexual person should be given the same rights as anyone else. Some would say that the Bible condemns it and therefore it shouldn't be allowed, but the Bible also says “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” If you followed this rule, then you would be on the right track to respecting them. If you then decided not to have anything to do with them that would only be tolerating them. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with that but in order to respect them and in turn to develop a deeper understanding and level of sympathy, you would have to communicate with them and approve of their thoughts and beliefs even if they don't entirely match up  with your own or the collective opinion, which i belive is shown in the quote on the far left.
