Add an overview of the candidate's biography-who is the candidate and what brought them into politics?
Chuck Schumer is a U.S senator who is dedicated to being a tireless fighter for New York. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where his dad owned a small exterminating business and his mom was a housewife. He attended public school and graduated from James Madison High School before heading to Harvard University. After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1974, Chuck was elected to the New York State Assembly, where he soon made his mark with his trademark vigor and relentless advocacy. In 1980, at 29, Chuck was elected as a congressman from the 9th Congressional District. Chuck has two daughters, Jessica and Alison, and he still resides in Brooklyn with his wife, Iris Weinshall. Chuck represented the 9th CD in Brooklyn and Queens for eighteen years, where he established his reputation as a consumer advocate and a pioneer in the fight against crime during the days of sky-high crime and murder rates that plagued communities throughout America. He was the leading sponsor of the Violence Against Women Act, which combats domestic violence and sexual assault, and the Brady Bill, which instituted mandatory background checks for handgun purchases. In 1998, Chuck was elected to the U.S. Senate; he became New York's senior senator when Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan retired in 2000. Chuck kicked off his first Senate term by announcing he would visit each of New York's 62 counties every year, a tradition he continues today to keep in touch with voters from every corner of the state. He also improved New York's economy

Add an overview of the candidates biography-who is the candidate and what brought them into politics?

Joe Pinion is an advocate, entrepreneur, and Political News Commentator. Throughout his life, Joe has witnessed both the power of opportunity and the pernicious impact of government-driven neglect. Joe, born and raised in Yonkers, NY by his mother and grandmother, graduated from Horace Mann High School. A Standout Student-Athlete, he was recruited to play football at Colgate University, where he was a 2-year Varsity Letter winner and a Member of the 2003 team that finished 15-1 and played in the I-AA National Championship. Joe helped integrate health services with community engagement to spearhead a bridge grant program designed to provide gap funding for children within the community to improve college accessibility. Joe experienced first-hand the government failing at one of its most fundamental obligations to protect our most vulnerable when he lost his 100-year-old grandmother who died of COVID, alone in a nursing home. Today, Joe is running for U.S. Senate because our state and our country are in trouble. For too long, career politicians like Chuck Schumer have failed the 99%, choosing instead to serve their political cronies and own self interests. In Chuck Schumer’s rise to power and fame as leader of the Senate, he left the rest of us behind choosing to serve a s loyal leader of the extreme radicals in Washington rather than side with us.

It would be a dream for me to see us create a lot of really good jobs in the area again." The keys for candidate is to work toward upstate areas and people with plant job. youssef

If our group could endorse a candidate, we would endorse Chuck Schumer. His work with climate change and healthcare are really inspiring because it seems like a lot of politicians don't care about these problems. We also like that he is Pro-choice which means that he will not prevent women and girls from an abortion. Schumer does this because he states, " we want to preserve a woman’s right to choose with Roe and all its protections.” Pinion does support our views, therefore we would not endorse him.
