Kids that play competitive sports are more likely not to drop out, and they get higher grades. This is because they know how to set a good goal for them self’s, so they can achieve more from an acidemic point. It can also teach them to work with others, and share ideas to help others and achieve their goal.

Sports for kids do not help with grades. This is because kids are so focused on there sports and so stressed out about it they might have trouble doing their homework because they are thinking about an upcoming sporting event that they are really nervous about. Also kids might not have enough time to do there homework because the amount of sports they have. This could really effect kids grades.

Competitive sports effect kids grades in a good way because they would want to stay in their sports, so they will probably try harder in their studies to stay. Also, sports teaches kids important life lessons that school can’t do. Such as how to handle oneself under pressure, which is very useful in school since you have to present a lot of school assignments. And there are many more lessons that only competitive sports can teach.

Competing can affect students in both good ways and bad ways. Sports can be bad because of how they take up time of studying for important tests and doing assignments. Playing sports and doing homework in one night can cause unessecary stress. “Pritchard reported that time management factors were a significant source of academic stress.”(livestrong.com) Although, adolescents that participate in something active are shown to have more concentration, behave more, and have a better self-esteem than kids who are not in sports. Back in 2002 the California Department of Education decided to do a study on what group of kids did better with tests. The study shows that adolescents who were in sports got higher scores. From a variety of what was shown, being involved with sports seems like a smart way to get awesome grades up!

From sports and from school you learn to work hard, and to always try your best. In addition to this lots of parents make their children get good grades in order to still be able to play sports.

Competetive sports are good for grades. Everyone knows that if you do bad in school, you won’t be eligible to play their sports anymore. This keeps them motivated because they love their sport. In most sports, you concentrate a lot, like focusing on swinging and hitting the ball, making sure the basketball goes in the net, or making sure a hockey puck is right on your stick when shooting, etc. These improve concentration which can help look out for the little things during homework and tests. Competitive sports makes kids feel confident and don’t feel left out. This can help kids worry about one less thing at school. Because exercise pumps more oxygen through your blood and makes your entire system more active, it makes you feel a lot more accomplished and a lot more productive. Therefore, competitive sports are good for your grades.

Youth sports can have many benefits for young people. Some include learning the sport they play, understanding what it takes to compete and the enjoyment of being part of a team. Playing sports also teaches children about responsibility and being part of a team. he importance of teamwork. Since participating in youth sports is a privilege, children have to earn that right by performing well in school. By concentrating their efforts on becoming eligible to play by doing well in class, students learn to focus their mind on the subject matter. This allows them to learn more than if they did not have such motivation, and helps them to get the most out of time spent in class and studying.

Competitive sports are great for kids because they help with social skills, self confidence and healthy more active kids. For example, kids can come from all different places on one team. This gives kids more opportunities to meet new people and improve their social skills. When kids do well in sports, it can help their self confidence in school and other activities. Studys show that this can lead to better grades in school when kids are confident. Lastly, competitive sports can help kids stay off of their phones and video games because sports take time and effort. That means them more active and healthier kids.

All good players try and put in the effort for a good time and for exercise. Benjamin Franklin said “Games lubricate the body and mind” it helps kids to stay focused and to keep strong. Many kids find a long field a stress relief because many feel safe on the field. Kids feel accomplished for scoring and doing it with a team helps to show that working together make sure it 100% better.

Competitive sports are good for kids because it helps them grow as a person and builds their personality. People say that competitive sports will effect kids in a way that they will get into fights and can hurt others worse than someone else. However with competitive sportsman, kids learn to be losers and how to deal with it instead of crying and yelling like a baby. Competitive sports help build kids self esteem, making them more confident in their abilities.

Sports can effect grades in a positive and negative way. Howell Wechsler (director of the Division of Adolescent and more) looked over 50 studies that showed the effect of school-based physical activity on academics and found out that half of the studies showed positive impact and none showed negative impact. Colleagues at the American College of Sports Medicine found out that middle-school students who did well on fitness tests also did well on academic tests. In a study which included over 954,000 students showed that students with higher fitness levels did better in school. Kids who have experiences on the field, bring it into the classroom. Kids who play on sports team learn leadership skills, responsibility, discipline, and time management skills that carry on into the classroom. Sports can also effect grades negatively. Many students-athletes have concern over not having enough time to do homework. It also causes stress over missed classes and assignments. In a study from the California Department of Education showed that all girls teams had signifcally higher grade point averages than their male classmates. So, grades can be effected by sports positively and negatively. (From livestrong.com)

Studies have shown that competetive sports have impacted grades in a positive way. This is because competetive sports boosts up your brain power and this helps focus your mind on school, or something that you are doing.

I think that competitive sports are bad for kids. It can leave extremely harmful and deadly impacts to their bodies. It is also a way to stressful lifestyle for kids, who need to simply have some free time. Being on a travel team would not allow them to just relax. In addition, I don’t think it’s is good to always be so competitive or aggressive around other people all the time.
